Ms. Atara Kanner
As a member of both the Shulamith MD and SHS faculty, Ms. Atara Kanner loves teaching all ages and stages. Ms. Kanner holds an MA in Urban Science from NYU and an MA in Math Education from Brooklyn College. Ms. Kanner believes that the focus of all curricula should be the students themselves, not solely the subject matter. Her lessons are tailor made to ensure that each student is able to solidify the skills they already have, and increase their confidence and independence in learning math. Ms. Kanner’s encouragement, patience, and warmth create a learning environment where all students grow to love math.
