Shulamith High School is part of the JEP network of schools. The other local girls' schools in the network are Central and SKA. JEP has a policy that all students who apply to more than one of their network schools must receive their admissions decisions at the exact same time, traditionally the Thursday evening before Presidents' Day.

Therefore, a student who applies to SHS and a second network school cannot receive her decision letter before the designated time. Those students are considered part of "February decisions." Students who apply only to SHS, or those who apply to SHS and a second school that is not part of JEP's network (such as BYAM, Shevach, TAG, TMM), are not bound by this policy, and they receive their admissions decisions in December.

ENTRANCE EXAM

Applicants are required to take the JSAT Level 8 Judaic Studies Exam, produced by the Consortium of Jewish Day Schools.

  • Middle schools that are part of JEP's network administer the JSAT in-house during school hours.
  • Applicants from non-participating schools can register for the Out of Network exam by visiting the cojds.org website and clicking on "Out of Network" Students.
  • Advance registration is required for students in non-participating schools. If you are unsure if your child's school is participating, please contact the elementary school about its participation in the exam and/or visit the JSAT Level 8 website for more information.
Upon completion of the application, the Admissions Office will schedule an interview with the prospective student and her parents.

We are looking forward to partnering with you in the next stage of your daughter's journey.
Students who are currently in high school can apply as a transfer student. Applications for transfer students will be available and processed after Pesach. If you have any questions about the admissions process for transfer students or to inquire about your unique situation, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Please note that we do not guarantee interviews for transfer students.
