Mrs. Nissa Levy

Born and bred in one of the smallest Jewish communities in the country, Mrs. Nissa Levy was raised on a diet of good books, divrei Torah, a daily perusal of The Wall Street Journal at the breakfast table, and biweekly cello lessons, all of which translated into her desire to become a teacher, and are pursuits that she still enjoys. Nissa attended Bais Yaakov Machon Raaya in Israel, after which she studied Secondary English Education at Indiana University while simultaneously teaching Limudei Kodesh at her alma mater, ultimately completing her degree at Queens College. Above all else, she wants her students to uncover and write their own stories, be it through the process of reading and writing, or by discovering themselves in the narratives of Tanach.
