Shulamith HS for Girls is seeking a part time and/or full time teachers in the above subjects for the 2021-2022 school year. Committed to educating every girl from head to heart, Shulamith High School inspires every student to become her best self.  The school culture is fun, creative, collaborative, innovative and professional.

The teacher should be a creative and dynamic educator who is passionate about inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of learning and interested in developing and cultivating their own professional learning. 

In addition to these curricular responsibilities, the candidate should be comfortable teaching with technology and have experience differentiating instruction. Our school has a one-to-one iPad initiative, and the teacher should feel confident incorporating educational apps into lessons. Our school is student-centered, progressive, warm and committed to academic rigor and excellence.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Warm, enthusiastic educator committed to a growth mindset
  • Open to or trained in student-centered inquiry based learning techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive educational background in relevant subject area
  • MA preferred
  • 1-3 years teaching experience preferred

Director of Admissions and Marketing

This role encompasses the following categories: communications, marketing, recruitment, admissions, event coordination and PR. This position reports directly to the Principal and is responsible for working creatively and collaboratively with the leadership team, faculty, outside contractors, parent and student ambassadors.   


1. Oversee all admissions related matters including but not limited to:

  • Create a strategic recruitment and outreach plan encompassing communications, events, outreach, multiple touch points and activities
  • All interview related responsibilities (contacting families, coordinating interviewers, arranging replacements)
  • Arranging admissions events
  • Work with school videographer on promotional video
  • Lead the process of updating and/or creating promotional materials together with school graphic designer
  • Gathering admissions team for admissions decision deadlines
  • Coordinating all files for applicants
  • Coordinating all accepted student events 
  • Liaison with Middle Division principals, feeder schools, and camps
  • Conducting extensive research on all families (and student where appropriate)
  • Point person for parents and students
  • Liaison with Executive Director and Board of Directors on financial related admissions matters

2. Marketing responsibilities

  • Weekly newsletter
  • Weekly correspondence and submissions with local newspapers and others when necessary
  • Bi-yearly newsletter publication
  • Outreach to current students 
  • Marketing for all major and minor school events
  • Oversee social media coordinator

 

3. General Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of all pieces
  • Someone who enables the principals to be able to dedicate most of their attention to the current school
  • Someone forward thinking who is constantly looking to reevaluate and do things better
  • Leader of whole admissions team, calling meetings when needed and creating buy-in of team members

Office Staff
We are looking for a capable and experienced person to join our busy office. Responsibilities include answering phones, organizing files, maintaining supplies, helping with the day-to-day managing of the school and more!
