Chesed Program

Chessed and community service are values at the core of SHS. We empower each student to engage with the community, learn about the needs of others, develop a sense of empathy, take initiative, and discover where to lend her talents. By embracing kindness, students develop into thoughtful, compassionate members of Klal Yisrael who appreciate and celebrate each other’s uniqueness and contributions. 

Chessed Ambassadors

Our chessed program is student driven, led by a group of Chessed Ambassadors. These ambassadors work to plan programs and initiatives to immerse our student body in community services. Helping our students develop into compassionate and contributing adults is one of our top priorities, and we therefore require each student to participate in at least 15 hours of community service projects each semester, as part of the academic program.
