Alana Sherman is excited to bring her experience, education, and enthusiasm to Shulamith! Her love of math, puzzles, and understanding solutions, as well as her passion for teaching young minds shape her teaching style. Mrs. Sherman stresses the discovery process in math, which aids in retention and true learning for students. She believes that given the right circumstances, every student can achieve; that is her goal. Mrs. Sherman has a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Indiana University, a Master’s in Math Education from Hofstra University, and holds NYS Certification in Math Education from 7-12. Mrs. Sherman is excited each year to show students that math can be fun. |
